Joe Brown (singer)

Roger Joseph "Joe " Brown MBE ( born May 13, 1941 in Swarby, Lincolnshire, England ) is a British guitarist, singer and songwriter.

Life

As a teenager, Brown played in various skiffle groups, including The Spaceman Skiffle Group. Larry Parnes took him in the late 1950s under contract. Brown has accompanied Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and Johnny Cash. In 1960, he played the guitar on the album The Sound of Fury by Billy Fury. In 1959, Brown recorded with his backing band The Bruvvers. Her hits include What a Crazy World We're Living In and A Picture of You. Brown and the Bruvvers were in the early 1960s in the UK so successful that the Beatles would occur with them as support. On 26 July 1962, the then Liverpool played as the opening act for Joe Brown and the Bruvvers in the Cambridge Hall, Southport.

In 1962, Brown separated by Parnes and married the singer Vicki Brown. The mid-1960s he turned to cabaret, mime, musical and film. In 1965, he played three years in musical Charlie Girl.
