Joe Coleman (painter)

Joe Coleman ( born November 22, 1955 in Norwalk, Connecticut as Joseph Coleman Jr.) is an American painter.

Coleman was born the son of a war veteran and the grandson of a famous prizefighter. His work is heavily influenced by popular genres such as folk art and comics, the intricate detail of his paintings has also been compared to works of Outsider Art and allegories of Hieronymus Bosch. Most of them are in his paintings to portraits of famous people that are the subject of modern myths. In addition to movie stars and musicians will also include well-known mass and serial killers.
