Joe Greene (athlete)

Joe Greene ( born February 17, 1967, the Wright - Patterson Air Base, Dayton, Ohio ) is a former American long jumper.

Greene won the bronze medal in the long jump, a result which he could repeat four years later at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Both competitions were won by Carl Lewis.

Also in Hall competitions Greene was successful: he won at the World Indoor Championships in 1993, the silver medal with 8.13 meters, while it was enough with personal Hallenbestleistung of 8.41 m at the World Indoor Championships in 1997 to third place.

At a height of 1.83 m Weight 68 kg Greene was competition.
