Joe Grushecky

Joe Grushecky ( born 1948 or 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American musician.

Biography

Grushecky brought with his first band, the Iron City Houserockers, 1979 the album "Love's So Tough " out, which has been called " the debut album of the year " by Rolling Stone magazine. Since then, his music style is assigned to the mainstream rock regularly. In 1983, the band broke up and Joe Grushecky took a job as a teacher. In the next few years he published only a single before 1989 " Rock And Real" again an LP, this time as a solo project, published, which appeared as the subsequent production " Swimming With the Sharks " at Rounder Records. Grushecky formed a band again and interacts with this since then under the name Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers.

1995 began a year-long collaboration with Bruce Springsteen; first published result was the same year the album " American Babylon " which was produced by Springsteen and on which he has acted as a guitarist and singer. Grushecky co-wrote the title "Code Of Silence", was awarded for the Springsteen in 2005 with a Grammy.

Grushecky is married, has a son and a daughter.
