Joe Jones (singer)

Joe Jones ( born August 12, 1926 in New Orleans, † 27 November, 2005 Los Angeles ) was an American rhythm and blues singer.

Life

After his military service in the U.S. Navy Jones studied music at the Juilliard Conservatory of Music. After graduation worked as a pianist and arranger for BB King. His debut solo single was Will Call in 1954 and his single You talk too much reached 1960 # 3 on the U.S. charts. Jones was explorers and later manager of the Dixie Cups. In 1973, he moved to Los Angeles, where he founded his own music publishing company. Jones died after a bypass operation on 27 November 2005 at the age of 79 in Los Angeles.
