Joe Klotz

Joe Klotz (* as Joseph Klotz ) is a cutter.

Life

Klotz has come by chance for film editing. Actually, he took part in only one job at a local TV station to pay his student loans after graduating from Syracuse University. After some further work on commercials and documentaries he came to television, where he not only smaller series and TV movies section, but even collaborated on the popular Comedy Central series Chappelle 's Show. Then the leap took to Hollywood, where, after films like Junebug, Grace is Gone and Choke - landed precious life is - the pretender in the production Precious. After turbulent personnel decisions Klotz was able to bring a certain continuity in the film, whereby the latter was a success and proceed with the work, which was distinguished by the fact that he was in 2010 honored with an Academy Award nomination for Best Editing. Klotz was one of the surprises in the nominations, as he was awarded yet nominated previously for all major prizes neither. He himself led his nomination to the fact that his style was influenced documentary, which was both due to the camera work, but zugutekam especially history.
