Joe Morolong (formerly Moshaweng ) is a municipality in the district of John Taolo Gaetsewe, Northern Cape Province in South Africa. In 2001, the population was 91,699 in a total area of 9477 km ². The administrative center is Mithibistad.

The municipality was part of the Bophuthatswana homeland. Main language of 95 percent is Setswana, followed by Afrikaans and English.
