Joe Morton
Joe Morton ( born October 18, 1947 as Joseph Morton Jr. in the New York City borough of The Bronx ) is an American actor.
Life
Joe Morton's parents are Evelyn and Joseph T. Morton, Sr. He grew up in the U.S., in Germany and in Okinawa, because his father was a member of the secret completed part of his service in those countries. Joe graduated in drama from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Since October 1984 he has been married to his second wife Nora Chavooshian and father of two daughters and a son.
Theater, Film and Television
Joe Morton had his Broadway debut in Hair and was nominated for his role in the musical Raisin for a Tony Award. His first appearance on television he had in 1970 in a series of Mission: Impossible take. His debut in a Hollywood production, he celebrated in 1979 in ... and justice for all. So far, Joe Morton starred in some 100 television productions and films, in which his roles in the Challenger (1990 ), Terminator 2 - Judgment Day (1991 ), Speed (1994 ), The Astronaut's Wife - Evil has a new face (1999), What Lies Beneath (2000), the Night Listener - the night eavesdropper (2006) and Badland (2007 ) are among the better known.
In 2008, American Gangster (2007 ), in which Morton played a supporting role, was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award ( Best Acting Ensemble ). His current film projects include La Linea with, among others, Ray Liotta and Andy Garcia and the comedy Wherever You Are (both 2008).
Guest starring Joe Morton played in television series such as Law & Order, Smallville, House MD, JAG - The Call of Duty, E- ring - Military Minds, Boston Legal, and some more. From 2006 until the series end of 2012 he was a regular on the science fiction series Eureka - The Secret City.
In addition to his acting work is Joe Morton worked as a producer and director as well as a songwriter and musician. In Blues Brothers 2000, he played three songs - " John The Revelator ", " Funky Nassau " and "Turn On Your Love Light" - and for Badland he wrote the theme song.
