Charles Joseph "Joe" Osmanski ( born December 26, 1917 in Providence, Rhode Iceland, USA, † July 24, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois), nicknamed Little Joe was a U.S. American football player. He played fullback in the National Football League ( NFL), including for the Chicago Bears.

Playing career

Like his brother, Bill Osmanski Joe Osmanski studied at the College of the Holy Cross. He played fullback for the football team. In 1941, he was drafted in the 18 round by the Washington Redskins to 170 place. Because of his military service in World War II, he was able to resume his playing career in 1946 after the Redskins had submitted to the Chicago Bears him. Coach of the Bears was George Halas, who used Joe Osmanski in the offense of the team fullback. The Bears were a top team in the NFL, the number of all-star players like the quarterback Sid Luckman, the running back George McAfee, or the offensive line players Bulldog Turner and Ed Sprinkle had in its ranks. Even the brother of Joe Osmanski Bill stood at the Bears under contract. Osmanski could win title in his rookie year with the team the Bears the NFL. In the 1949 season, Joe Osmanski moved to the New York Bulldogs and finished his career after this season. After his playing career, he was football coach from high school football teams in Chicago. Joe Osmanski is on the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum in Niles, Illinois, buried.
