Joe Renzetti

Joseph V. "Joe" Renzetti ( born January 4, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American composer and musician.

Life

Renzetti was educated at the Manhattan School of Music. Already in the 1960s he worked in Philadelphia as a studio musician for Cameo Records and produced to date occasionally some albums.

Same for his first film, The Buddy Holly Story as a film music composer, he was honored at the Oscar ceremony in 1979 with the Oscar. In the same year he collaborated with director John Carpenter and there was the movie Elvis - The King. For his contribution to the 1980 film resulting Geheimauftrag Hollywood Renzetti was nominated for the Golden Raspberry.

In 1988, he was the composer of the two horror films Poltergeist III - The dark side of evil and Chucky - The Killer Doll. From 1993 to 1994, he composed the music for the television series Missing Persons. A director, screenwriter and producer with whom he often collaborates Gary Sherman.
