Joe S. Bain

Joe Bain ( born July 4, 1912 in Spokane, Washington; † September 7, 1991 in Columbia, Ohio) was an American economist.

Bain is considered a representative of the law of mass production, which proceeds in a price-quantity diagram of declining supply curves, since with increasing sales volume, production costs fall and thus drops the price of the sold goods. In economics but you go because the opposite laws, such as the law of decreasing marginal returns, rather of increasing supply curves. Bain is thus in conflict with Johann Heinrich von Thünen and his successors.
