Joel Isasi

Joel Isasi González ( born July 13, 1967 in Matanzas ) is a retired Cuban sprinter.

His greatest achievement was winning the bronze medal in the 4 x 100 -meter relay at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. The Cuban season in the lineup Andrés Simón, Joel Lamela, Joel Isasi and Jorge Aguilera reached the finish in 38.00 s behind the teams in the United States ( 37.40 s, the then world record) and Nigeria ( 37.98 s ).

Isasi won at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1990 in Mexico City and 1993 in Ponce, each about 100 m. Other International Final placements will be reached at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1991 in Seville with fifth place and in Toronto in 1993 with a sixth place in the 60 - meter dash. He also reached at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, the semi-final round of the 100m, finishing at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 with the season in sixth place.
