Joel Savage

Joel Savage ( born December 25, 1969 in Surrey, British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League for the Buffalo Sabres and in the DEL for the Star Bulls Rosenheim, the Frankfurt Lions and the Adler Mannheim.

Playing career

The 1.80 m wide winger began his career with the Kelowna Packers in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League and then moved to the Victoria Cougars in the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League. NHL Entry Draft 1988, he was finally selected as the 13th in the first round by the Buffalo Sabres ( drafted ).

His only three NHL bets then graduated from the right shooter in the 1990/91 season, the rest of the time he spent in North America at various farm teams in the American Hockey League and the IHL. In 1995, the Canadians in the DEL to Star Bulls Rosenheim, for which he was for two years on the ice and he then left in the direction of Frankfurt Lions. His last stop in Germany were the Adler Mannheim in the 1999/00 season, then signed the striker a contract with the Swiss first division club HC Lugano. His career ended Joel Savage after the 2003/ 04 season with EV train.
