Joey Newman

Joey D. Newman ( born September 9, 1976 in Santa Monica, California) is an American composer.

Biography

Joey Newman was born into a musical family. He is the son of singer Joe Frank Carollo, the member from Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds was, and the ballerina Jennifer Newman. His maternal grandfather is the composer Lionel Newman. It is therefore also the great-nephew of Alfred Newman and the nephew of Randy, David and Thomas Newman. In his childhood, he learned drums, piano and sang in the children's choir of the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Later, he studied music at Berklee College of Music. He then moved to Los Angeles where he worked for WG Snuffy Walden and on the composing as Once and Again and Providence for series. After another film and series compositions Newman is currently responsible for the music of the television series The Middle.
