Johan A. Andersson

Johan Andersson ( born May 18, 1984 in Motala ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with IF Troja Ljungby - in HockeyAllsvenskan since 2013. His brothers Erik and Oscar are also professional hockey players.

Career

Johan Andersson began his career as a hockey player in the junior section of IF Troja Ljungby - for whose first team he was in the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division, active from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, the winger played two years for Linköpings HC of the Elitserien, and three years for its league rivals Timrå IK. For the 2009/10 season he signed a contract with the reigning Swedish champions Färjestad BK. There he could indeed earn a regular place, but unable to match the yield point of the two previous years, which is why his contract was not renewed.

The 2010/11 season spent the former national player with his former club Linköpings HC, before the following season with the Timrå IK joined another former club.

Since 2013 Andersson has returned to his hometown club under contract.

Internationally

For Sweden, Andersson took part only at the U20 World Junior Championship in 2004 at junior level. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 2008 and 2009. During the 2009 World Cup he won with his team the bronze medal.
