Johan Petro

Johan Petro ( born January 27, 1986 in Paris, France ) is a French professional basketball player who most recently ran aground for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. He is 2.12 m tall and plays at the position of center.

Biography

The Paris-born Johan Petro spent his childhood and youth in Guadeloupe. His first important station as a basketball player was in the French top club Élan Pau - Orthez Béarnais. There he celebrated his greatest success, winning the French championship. When NBA Draft 2005 Petro was elected as the 25th pick by the Seattle SuperSonics. He played until January 7, 2009 for this franchise that has moved to the 2008/2009 season to Oklahoma City, and has since called Oklahoma City Thunder. Then he was traded against Chucky Atkins and was player of the Denver Nuggets until he was traded in 2010 to the New Jersey Nets.
