Johan Theorin ( born September 3, 1963 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish journalist and author.

Life and work

Literary creation

Theorin has published short stories, anthologies and novels. Theorin crime novels are characterized by mythological elements and are bestsellers in his native Sweden.

Even with his first crime novel Öland, excellent in Sweden as the best debut thriller of the year, he managed an international success: The book has been translated into over twenty languages ​​. It plays like all his novels so-called " Seasons Quartet " on the island of Öland. Johan Theorin family has lived there for generations, he is a regular visitor to the island and knows the cultural heritage, their legends and myths.
