Johann Adam Ackermann

Johann Adam Ackermann ( * 1780 in Mainz, † March 27, 1853 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German landscape painter during the first half of the 19th century.

Life

From 1801 to 1804, Johann Adam Ackermann held in Paris, where he studied with Jacques -Louis David history painting. From 1804 lived Ackermann in Frankfurt am Main. He dealt with various graphic techniques, but stepped out in particular through landscape painting and watercolors. His younger brother Georg Friedrich Ackermann (1787-1843) was also a landscape painter, but with less success.
