Johann August Kaupert

Johann August Kaupert ( born May 9, 1822 in Kassel, † February 11, 1899 in Berlin) was a German cartographer. He received in 1889 an honorary doctorate from the University of Strasbourg. He was privy council of war.

Kaupert was instrumental in the creation of maps works for the German Reich during the imperial period.
