Johann Baptist Pflug

Johann Baptist Pflug ( born February 13, 1785 Biberach an der Riss, † May 30, 1866 ) was a German genre painter.

Life

He is considered one of the most important genre painter of his time. Pflug was a pupil of Johann Christian von Mannlich at the Munich Academy, the particular copied the Dutch painter. These copies were sold at the Munich art dealer Dietz, who made ​​a sweeping funny business with these images.
