Johann Christoph Bach

Johann Christoph Bach ( baptized 8 Dezemberjul / December 18 1642greg in Arnstadt, .. † March 31, 1703 in Eisenach ), the eldest son of Heinrich Bach was a German composer. He is regarded as the most important composer of his generation in the family stream.

Bach was at George church in Eisenach, where he worked as a harpsichordist next to the court orchestra since 1663 organist of the chapel Arnstadt and 1665.

From Johann Christoph Bach few works have survived, most of them in altbachischen archive:
