Johann Friedrich Hahn

Johann Friedrich Hahn ( born December 28, 1753 Giessen, † May 30, 1779 in Zweibrücken ) was a German lyric poet.

Life

Hahn, evg. Lutheran. , Studied from April 22, 1771 at the University of Göttingen law, then theology. There he was on September 12, 1772 one of the founders of the Göttingen Hainbund.

Since his graduation, he worked as associate of Johann Heinrich Voss. Because of his German nationalist sentiments he was called by this Teuthard. An " unfortunate hypochondriac ".

Hahn was taken on May 11, 1774, together with Friedrich Leopold Graf zu Stolberg in the box to the three roses in Hamburg as a Freemason. In June 1774, he was co-founder of the Lodge At the Golden Circle in Göttingen, where he was raised on 18 November 1774 champion.

At the age of 26 years Johann Friedrich Hahn died on 30 May 1779 probably in mental derangement.
