Johann Friedrich Zückert

Johann Friedrich Zückert (* December 19, 1737 in Berlin, † May 1, 1778 ) was a physician.

Life

After he spent four years as pharmacist Johann Friedrich Zückert devoted from 1756 medical studies, first by visiting the anatomical amphitheater and public lectures at the Charité. In 1758 he entered the University of Frankfurt, where he in 1760 with the thesis De morbis ex situ alieno partium thoracis doctorate. Then he went on study trips through Germany and visited the most important universities.

End of 1761, he settled in Berlin and became a member of the local Obercolleg. med - chir .. Due to his weak health, he had to renounce the practical career and devoted himself to literary work. In 1765 he became a member of the Leopoldina.

Appreciation

Erwin H. plowman holds Zückert as a theorist of psychogenic causation of mental illness. In his work Of the passions Zückert performs in 1768 that the passions are destructive. The new generation was sensitive to loose in the womb texture fibers. She was so soft. In contrast, religion, philosophy and dietetics would act as protective measures. Herein have been announced at later positions of the psychics.
