Johann Georg von Hahn

Johann Georg von Hahn ( born July 11, 1811 in Frankfurt am Main, † September 23, 1869 in Jena) was an Austrian diplomat and Albanologist.

Life

Hahn was the son of Philipp Franz Hahn (1770-1836), who was landgräflich - Hessian personal physician and Privy Council since 1814 and was knighted in 1823 at the Grand Duchy of Hesse. His brother was Friedrich von Hahn.

After attending high school in Mainz, he studied in Giessen and Heidelberg from 1828 to 1832 and received his doctorate in law.
