Johann Gottfried Roesner

Johann Gottfried Roesner ( born November 21, 1658 Züllichau; † December 7, 1724 in Toruń ) was a Royal Prussian official, who was executed in Thorner blood Court.

Rosner was born in the Brandenburg Neumark. 1679 to 1683 he studied at the University of Frankfurt (Oder). The Viscount of Thorn in 1703 and mayor in 1706 curator of the urban Thorner School. Like most citizens of the urban upper class he was an adherent of Protestantism.

In the aftermath of clashes between Catholics and Protestants in the summer of 1724 Roesner was convicted of " dereliction of duty and rebellion " by the Polish Supreme Court in Warsaw to death and executed in Thorner Blutgericht with other citizens.
