Johann Justus Kahle

Johann Justus Kahle (also Cahle, born February 11, 1668 Helmstedt; † after 1731 probably in Zellerfeld ) was a German organist and composer.

Life

As the son of a master baker Bathold Bald he was baptized on April 12, 1668 in St. Stephani Church in Helmstedt. About his youth or training nothing is handed down. In the registers of the then famous Helmstedt University Academia Julia, his name does not appear. He then became organist at the main urban St. Stephen's Church. 1709 he clipped after Zellerfeld, where he was apparently also active as an organist.

He is known today only by the retrieved in Ostrava library Hans- Hasso von Veltheims fair cantatas that he composed on behalf of Otto Ludwig von Veltheim about 1704.
