Johann Schobert

Johann Schobert (* 1720 in Silesia, † August 28, 1767 in Paris) was a German composer, pianist and harpsichordist.

Life

About his life very little is known; be especially already on his birth year different versions ( opinions vary from 1720 to 1735 ). As certain knowledge can be said that he was born in Silesia. Childhood and youth in Alsace are not documented. What is certain, however, that he (probably in the 50s or 60s ) was the 18th century to Paris, where he. He was regarded as an outstanding pianist, especially the young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart whose work influenced in his early works.
