Johanna ter Steege

Johanna ter Steege ( born May 10, 1961 in wierden ) is a Dutch actress.

Life and career

Johanna ter Steege began her career with studies at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Kampen from 1979 to 1984 and was drama teacher. For stage actress, she was educated at the drama school in Arnhem from 1984 to 1988. Since 1988 she regularly plays in movies and has already won for her first supporting role a Felix. This was followed after the first international work. They played under such directors as Robert Altman and István Szabó. Mid-1990s, she was hired by Stanley Kubrick for the lead role in his planned Auschwitz drama, which was, however, then returned after Steven Spielberg 's film Schindler's List (1993 ) brought out. Work has never resumed.

Ter Steege is married with Jan Obbeek since 1995 and in 1998 the mother of a daughter, who already participated in films.
