Johannes Dietrich

Johannes Dietrich (born 10 February 1985 in Berlin ) is a German swimmer who specializes on the short butterfly distance and was able to celebrate especially on the short track successes.

Career

Dietrich's first major international success was winning the bronze in the 50 meters butterfly at the European Short Course Championships 2007 in Debrecen.

Nearly a year later, when the German Short Course Championships 2008 in Essen, he won over 50 meters butterfly with a new European record time the championship.

Half a year later, at the Short Course World Championships 2008 in Manchester, he was in the final of the 50 meters butterfly in 23.05 seconds in sixth.

With the World Swimming Championships 2009 in Rome Dietrich lodged with a time of 23.55 seconds 19th place just a few months later at the Short Course European Championships 2009 in Istanbul, he played his most successful international competitions by winning the European Champion title over 50 meters butterfly and winning the Vice European Champion title with the 4 x 50 meter medley relay. In addition, he won the 100m Butterfly 17th place

John Dietrich trained with the SC Wiesbaden coach at Oliver Grossmann.
