Johannes Petreius
John Petreius (Hans Peterlein, * 1497 in Langendorf near Bad Kissingen, † March 18, 1550 in Nuremberg ) was a German wood carvers and printers.
Petreius worked as a printer in Nuremberg since 1523. He published in 1536 in addition to 750 books and 21 music tracks with a total of well over 1000 music pieces. Among the best known of his writings printed the first edition of Nicolaus Copernicus ' De revolutionibus orbium Coelestium heard in 1543.
