Johannes Schmoelling
Schmoelling learned to play the piano at age eight. Later he dealt with church organs and was 14 already organist of a Catholic church. He studied sound engineering at the University of Arts in Berlin. After a job as a sound engineer in a theater, he joined the group Tangerine Dream. During this period that various studio and live albums and soundtracks known as The Keep. 1985, he left Tangerine Dream and launched a solo career.
Today Schmoelling is still active as a solo musician and founded in 2000 his own record label Victoria Park Records. 2005, a new collaboration with Edgar Froese appeared under the name Tangerine Dream, however, contained only revised, previously unreleased recordings from 1983. Published in 2007 Schmoelling a compilation that covers as a solo musician his first 20 years: "Images and Memory".
