Johannisthaler Chaussee (Berlin U-Bahn)

Metro Station Johannisthaler Chaussee ( with the parenthesis' Gropius City " ) is a station on the Berlin U -Bahn line U7. It was opened on January 2, 1970 as part of the extension to Zwickau dam, and 1042 meters from Britz - Süd Underground Station and 785 meters from the Lipschitzallee Metro Station.

The station is located in the district of Gropius city, from which the station also received its nickname. In the station list of the BVG this station bears the initials millennium

The design by the architect Rainer G. Rümmler. It was placed on simplicity value. The station has a center platform with a staircase in the center that leads passages in the mall Gropius, and an output at the northern end of the platform, which leads into a vestibule. The original entrance halls, as they existed in 1970, but are no longer present. The walls bear consistently gray tiles, which are interrupted by a horizontal white stripe on which the station name on it. The center supports are covered with metal sheets. Ceiling and the platform itself are kept gray.

The station is accessible by elevator.

Connection

The underground station is served by the U7. It offers connecting flights to numerous bus lines of the Berlin Transport Authority and the Regional Transport Company Dahme -Spreewald.
