John Abraham (actor)

John Abraham ( Hindi / Marathi जॉन अब्राहम Jonah ABRAHAMA, Malayalam ജോണ് എബ്രഹാം, born December 17, 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra ) is an Indian actor and a model.

John Abraham Christian father is an architect, who hails from Aluva, Kerala, while his mother, a Parsee was basketball teacher. The two burned through because of their religious differences, and Abraham's birth has cemented the rift between the parents and the grandparents. Abraham has a younger brother named Alan.

Abraham first went to the Bombay Scottish School and later Jai Hind to the College, where he held the position of captain of the football team. After he had made a Master in Marketing, he worked for his college education as a media planner, while he was captain of Mumbai's football team at the same time.

In 1999, he won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and went to Singapore to take part in the beauty pageant Manhunt International. There he took second place. Abraham then made as a model advertising for Provogue and was best-paid to India's fashion model.

In 2003, Abraham turned in Bollywood its first and highly controversial film Jism. In 2005, he was photographed for the Indian PETA campaign.
