John Andrew Boyle

John Andrew Boyle (* 1916, † 1978) was a British Orientalist. He was professor of Persian studies at the University of Manchester. Among his most famous works is his translation of the Ǧuwainī ( in Boyle's case: Juvaini ) written history of the world conqueror Genghis Khan.

The Cambridge History of Iran, he edited the tape to the Seljuks and the time of the Mongols.
