John B. Reddick

John B. Reddick ( born April 8, 1845 Scioto County, Ohio; † September 16, 1895 in Calaveras County, California ) was an American politician. Between 1891 and 1895 he was Deputy Governor of the State of California.

Career

About the youth and education of John Reddick nothing is handed down. He arrived at an unknown date to California, where he struck as a member of the Republican Party a political career. Between 1875 and 1877, and again from 1881 to 1883 he sat as a deputy in the California State Assembly. In the presidential election of 1884 he was one of the Republican electors.

Reddick was elected in 1890 on the side of Henry Markham for Lieutenant Governor of California. This post he held 1891-1895. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. He died on 16 September 1895 Calavares County.
