John Baston

John Baston (* 1685, † 1740 ) was an English composer and flautist of the late Baroque.

John Baston had appointments at Stationers 'Hall (1708-1714), at Coach Makers' Hall (1722-1733), he also was mentioned as a musician at the Drury Lane Theatre. When his main instrument applies the recorder. The only Bastons compositions which have remained, his "Six Concertos in Six Parts for violins and flutes " in 1729, which are available again in new editions.
