John Bellamy Foster

John Bellamy Foster ( born August 19, 1953) is an American journalist, sociologist, essayist and editor of the Marxist Ökosozialist and magazine Monthly Review.

Foster is Professor of Sociology at the University of Oregon in Eugene. He has published on topics such as political economy and environmental sociology and deals with Marxist theory.

Foster has written comments to the path of development of eco - communalism within the Scenarios series The Great Transition, which has the Global scenario group presented.
