John Boye

John Boye ( born April 23, 1987 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian footballer who is since 2009 at Stade Rennes under contract.

Career

Association

In his youth, John Boye played at various clubs, among others Schwepps, in the Pro Consult Sports Academy, the Miracle FC, ​​until he finally landed at Heart of Lions in 2005. In 2007 he came into the professional division of the association. In July 2008, he completed a two-week trial with French club Stade Rennes. In September he was awarded with a call option on the B- team of Rennes. After 24 games and scored three goals for the B team, he returned in June 2009, initially back to the " Lions ". However, Rennes was interested in continuing obligation and came back two weeks later with a contract offer to him, but from Boye said he had already signed a contract with Israeli club Hapoel Petah Tikva. But the move to Israel did not materialize and so he signed on 10 July 2009 a contract with Stade Rennes. Boye played in the first season exclusively in the second team, but was used in the 2010/11 season from February 2011 in the first team and completed on February 13th on the grid, his Ligue 1 debut against OGC Nice.

National

On 17 June 2008 he was nominated as part of the qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2010 for the match on 22 June against Gabon and completed in this game, his first senior international game when he came on in the 60th minute for Issah Ahmed. He belonged to the 23- man squad for Ghana's African Cup of Nations in 2012 and denied the group match against Botswana on January 24, 2012.

So far Boye played 26 caps for his country.
