John Brack

John Brack ( born April 4, 1950 in Zurich, † May 1, 2006 ibid ), actually Hans -Heinrich Brack, was one of the most successful Swiss Country and gospel singer who was also known as Mr. Swiss Country.

Even in his youth he learned the flute, clarinet and guitar and formed the band Knights Of Blues, in which he also appeared for the first time at the age of 14 years as a singer. After numerous appearances as a guest and blues singer of Che & Ray, he focused the late 1970s to country music.

John Brack has published over 30 CDs in all directions Country, country rock and Southern gospel and sold over 380,000 records. He was particularly known for his gospel concerts at Christmas and Easter time.

1999 Bo Katzman produced along with John Brack and Steve Lee ( Gotthard), the single " With a Little Help from my Friends", which was number 18 to its highest new entry in the Swiss charts.

In 2006 he received the Prix Walo for the second time in the category of country / gospel. He received this award in 1995, was awarded for the first time as this division.

John Brack died on 1 May 2006 of pneumonia.
