John Cairney

John Cairney ( born February 16, 1930 in Scotland, United Kingdom ) is a British actor.

Life

Cairney began his career as an actor in 1954 with the television series General Electric Theater. His first film role was in 1957 in the film Ill Met by Moonlight. In the same year Cairney played in the movies hit into the lucky man in the fire and bride in every street. This year Cairney had had most to do.

In 1963, Cairney played the role of Hylas in the film Jason and the Argonauts. That was one of his most famous roles. In this film he played alongside the actor Nigel Green. In the same year Cairney played with in the movie Cleopatra. Two years earlier he had an appearance in the famous television series The Avengers and melon. Cairneys last film in the 1960s was the movie Sherlock Holmes's greatest case.

After the movie, Sherlock Holmes's greatest case Cairney only appeared predominantly with in TV series. Some of these TV series were The Two, High Tide - A cool duo, Riding High and The Chosen.
