John Carlson (ice hockey)

John Carlson ( born January 10, 1990 in Natick, Massachusetts) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since 2009 in the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Carlson began his career at youth level with the New Jersey Rockets of the third-rate American League Atlantic Junior Hockey League. There he played between 2005 and 2007 and recorded in 82 games 62 points scorer. At the end of the 2006/07 season the defender the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League followed, where he spent the following season. His 43 points in 59 games earned him a contract with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. In addition, Carlson has been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the first round on 27 out of the Washington Capitals.

After playing the season 2008/ 09 at the Knights in the OHL and it was in spite of the commitment of John Tavares have failed to win the J. Carlson represented his native country for the first time in the United States Under-20 Junior World Cup 2010 in Saskatoon, Canada. His performances in the tournament earned him election to the All- Star team of the tournament.
