John Casablancas

John Casablancas ( born December 22, 1942 in New York, USA, † July 20, 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) was known as the founder of Elite Model Management.

Life and career

John Casablancas was born in 1942 in Manhattan, was the son of Spanish immigrants and grew up in the United States, Mexico and Europe.

In 2000 he left Elite Modeling. He stood in front of the John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center, which has extensive operations in North, Central and South America and Italy and Indonesia.

He is considered the discoverer and promoter of the career of the top models Gisele Bundchen. John Casablancas himself had previously worked on the catwalks of the fashion world.

He died on July 20, 2013 at the age of 70 years in Rio de Janeiro.
