John Collins (footballer born 1968)

John Collins ( born January 31, 1968 in Galashiels ) is a former Scottish footballer and current trainer, who trains currently Sporting Charleroi.

Career

The Scot began his career in 1984 at Hibernian. In 1990 he moved to league rivals Celtic. AS Monaco midfielder won the 1996 the first French league. There it held Collins, however, only two years, because in 1998 he was engaged by Everton FC. Again, two years later, in the summer of 2000, the Scot moved for the last time, this time for Fulham FC. There, he finished his career in 2003. Collins took with the Scottish national team in three major tournaments. So he was at the World Cup in Italy in 1990, at the European Championships in England in 1996, and at the 1998 World Cup in France this. His greatest successes were winning the Scottish Cup in 1995 with Glasgow Celtic and winning the French championship in 1997 with AS Monaco.
