John Condon (boxer)

John "Johnny" Condon (* February 18, 1889, † February 21, 1919 in Shoreditch ) was a British boxer.

Condon participated in the 1908 Summer Olympics in part in London, where he won the silver medal in the bantamweight. In the final, he first had to admit defeat against Henry Thomas.

One year after the final defeat he won the Amateurboxtitel the Amateur Boxing Association of England ( ABA) and was a professional boxer when he graduated eight fights. The first on November 29, 1909 against Bill Ladbury, he could win on points. On July 28, ended in 1913 after two wins, five losses and one draw his career.
