John Cornell

John Cornell ( born February 2, 1941 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia ) is an Australian film director, screenwriter and film producer. He became internationally known through the movies Crocodile Dundee - A crocodile for kissing, Crocodile Dundee II and Almost An Angel.

Life and career

John Cornell, born in 1941 in Australia Kalgoorlie, grew up in Bunbury on in the state of Western Australia. First he put his professional focus on journalism with reporting for the newspaper The Daily News about local events in Perth. Since the early 1970s, he was in the film industry in various capacities working, including as director, screenwriter and producer.

In 1971, John Cornell had changed from the newspaper industry for television and where he took a job as a producer for the nightly national news program A Current Affair.
