John D. Rockefeller III

John D. Rockefeller III (* March 21, 1906; † July 10, 1978 ) continued the philanthropic activities of his parents, John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, including as president of the Rockefeller Foundation.

John DR III was particularly involved in the global birth control ( Population Council ) and founded the Asia Society. In New York, he was one of the driving forces and financiers for the huge Lincoln Center project.

Together with Blanchette Ferry Rockefeller (1909-1992) John D. Rockefeller III had four children:
