John Daly (skeleton racer)

John Daly ( born June 10, 1985) is an American skeleton pilot.

John Daly lives in Smithtown. He runs the sport of skeleton in 2001. Since 2003 it belongs to the national squad of the U.S.. In December 2004, he was able to give in Park City debut in Skeleton America's Cup, and was twelfth. At the beginning of the following year he took part in the Junior World Championships in Winterberg, where he reached the eighth night, and 2006 in Igls the ninth. At the beginning of the season 2005/ 06 he managed tenth in Lake Placid his first top ten result in the America 's Cup. However, it took until December 2006 that he reached third place in Lake Placid a first prominent placement. At the same place Daly won his first race in this series in April 2008. Several times he went so far in the European Cup Skeleton on, third place in St. Moritz in January 2008 was a third place until the end of the season best result. In the overall rankings of the European Cup and the America's Cup in 2007/ 08 was Daly fifth and eighth. The Junior World Championships in Igls ended the American seventh. 2008/ 09 Daly started again in the European Cup. In Igls and St. Moritz he won a race and finished in the overall standings of the competition runners-up behind Sebastian Haupt. Another successful event was the Intercontinental season 2009/10. He came only in the last four races of the season to use, but won all four. Previously, he had been in the season two races of the America 's Cup in Lake Placid.
