John Davis (weightlifter)

John Davis ( born January 12, 1921 in Smithtown, Long Iceland, New York, † 13 July 1984) was an American weightlifter.

Life

John grew up in Brooklyn / NY. As a child and teenager, he drove all kinds of sports such as gymnastics, swimming, baseball and athletics. A regional weightlifting coach, Steve Wolsky, became aware of the strong young man and encouraged him to weight lifting. John Davis had him cut to the body of sport found.
