John Dew (diplomat)

John Anthony Dew ( born 1950 ) is a British diplomat. Since 2008 he has been British Ambassador to Colombia.

Life

Dew came in 1973 in the Foreign Service a. 1975 Dew was in Tunja Boyacá. From 1975 to 1978 Dew was in Caracas first third later Second Secretary From 1979 to 1983 Dew was in London at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office - FCO From 1983 to 1987 Dew was in Paris delegate of the British Government in the Organization for Economic Co- operation and Development (OECD) in Paris along with the salary of a first secretary. From 1987 to 1992 Dew was in the FCO, Deputy Head of the Republic of Ireland, Falkland Islands and the Department of Resource Management from 1992 to 1996 Dew in Dublin, Deputy Chief of Mission. From 1996 to 1999 Dew was in Madrid, Deputy Chief of Mission, along with the salary of a minister. From 2000 to 2003 Dew was in the FCO, Head of Latin America and the Caribbean. From 2003 to 2004 Dew was in London, seconded to Lehman Brothers investment bank. From 2004 to 2008 Dew was British Ambassador to Cuba. Since 2008 Dew is a British ambassador to Colombia. John Dew is married and has three daughters.
