John Diebold

John Diebold ( born June 8, 1926 in the Weehawken, New Jersey, USA, † 26 December, 2005 New York, NY) was an American computer entrepreneur and visionary.

Life

Diebold developed already in 1952, business methods on the basis of computers. In his book he described Automation even then the networking of computers and companies as a vision.

Entrepreneurial Diebold had his first major success with the electronic conversion of the account management of the Bowery Savings Bank in New York in 1961.

Already in 1963 he described the displacement of typewriters by computer.

In 1991, Diebold sold his company, Diebold Group, Daimler -Benz and focused on the structure of the Diebold Institute.

On German television / NDR was John Diebold in 1981 by Max H. Rehbein as a man in a hurry (New York Trilogy, part 3) portrays.

John Diebold, the industry also 'Mr. Called Automation ', was adviser to several American presidents. As an author he has written several best-sellers.
